Last year was rough. But we survived, we fought an Last year was rough. But we survived, we fought and battled our way through a murky time. We’ve exploded out the other side and still, we fight on.

Last year taught us that we can do anything and build our life that matches our values and ideals, be the person we want to be and have no fear to push forward. We spent a year surviving and helplessly watching our lives halt to a stop because of an invisible force. But what if we become as powerful as that force? What if we take back our power and rise up to push ourselves to a new standard? I’m done being fearful and hiding away. I want more from my life than I ever thought possible, I want to live everyday with no holds and keep reaching higher.

I’m so ready for this year, I won’t stop pushing and my mind is open to so much possibility. I’m ready to grab it all and thrive!

When putting the decorations away for another year When putting the decorations away for another year, we have a tradition that we stick to religiously, and this year Alex joined in 🥰

We each write out our goals for the year, may it be personal, business, home or other. We each write it in on a piece of paper and stow it away in with the decorations. It’s so fun to see how far we’ve come in a year and what we can work on for the next!

My favourite goal for last year was to hit £20k in savings (I had £14k debt at the time!) and I’ve finished the year not only debt free- but with £22500 in savings!

Whatever goal you have for the year ahead, write them down. 😍

Merry Christmas 🎄

I love this time of year, I love the traditions pa I love this time of year, I love the traditions passed down from days gone by and adapted every year. This is my favourite- our door wreath. Sometimes it’s not a wreath, sometimes it’s just big bunches of homegrown rosemary and a sprig of holly with the big red bow. But whatever it is, it’s our family tradition to go for a winter walk and find foliage. It’s fun, it’s festive and it’s free!

Traditions are my favourite part of Christmas, I love reliving those from my childhood and I love making new ones that my children will pass to theirs one day 😍

What’s your favourite tradition?

I can’t believe it, I’m in absolute shock! In I can’t believe it, I’m in absolute shock! In May this year I became debt free after clearing £14202 since January 2020. And now, after working tirelessly, I’ve just hit £20000 in savings!

This money has a purpose: it’s for a house deposit for our first ever home, somewhere for me, Alex and the kids to call our own. I know this amount isn’t enough for a deposit, it’s still a work in progress but to be here after years of hardship, well, it’s a truly joyous feeling!

I’m going to put saving on hold for a few weeks to help work with Alex becoming debt free by NYE, I’ll tell you more in due course 😉

For now I’m going to have a little happy dance and tell future me not to worry, I’ve got this 🥰

I told Fifi about a local charity I found that fee I told Fifi about a local charity I found that feeds kids during school holidays if their parents are struggling to. She asked if the government not stepping in to help would mean that her friends that are entitled to free school meals would be hungry during the half term. She got a bit teary at the thought of her chums rumbly tummy’s so we hatched a plan: we followed the charities advice and cleared @tesco shelves of dry goods for their family meal kits.

Ta-da! A car boot full later and one happy Fifi!

52 x 1KG spaghetti packets
Lots of tinned goods
Lots of tinned fruits

Happy girly 🥰

I’m always on the lookout for simple, quick and I’m always on the lookout for simple, quick and nutritious meals for dinner and once again, the wonderful @amysheppardfood has come through with this beauty- butternut squash lasagne! Delicious- as expected, and the kids wolfed it down.

If you don’t know Amy, you should. For me, she’s up there with @nigellalawson (and I bloody love Nigella!) so she’s quite something. I find myself gravitating towards her recipes day after day because they’re so simple and stress free to make.

I’m so grateful to have found you ♥️ (and so are the kids now I cook better food 🤣)

Oh hi, yah it’s me- Nat 👋 Just out here wor Oh hi, yah it’s me- Nat 👋

Just out here working hard reselling and recycling all the things, saving stuff from landfill 💁🏻‍♀️ Just call me Greta 🤣

Seriously though, this pandemic has taught me that I wasn’t being truthful to myself and what I wanted from my business, in fact, I was failing because I wasn’t listening. I was about ready to throw in the towel and go get myself a 9-5, lockdown forced me to revalue my business and my direction. I had a brainwave- what if I stopped and listed to my soul? What if I stepped into my truth? I decided that I didn’t want to trawl charity shops and car boots forever, I wanted to help people, and animals and the environment from the damage we cause. So I overhauled my business to reflect this and with the huge help from bae, I shifted to my truth of saving items from landfill and helping my community. And I’m not kidding- the results came instantly!

I’m still reselling, but now I recycle, repair, reuse, rehome and give! My god, we give! We give for free, we give time, we donate so so much! And it makes me happy to know this is only going to get bigger the harder I work, and I can give more and more and more ☺️

Moral of the story: Step into your truth. If something’s not right in life or business, listen to yourself and do what makes you happy 😘
